The Seven Day Cleanse.

Starting tomorrow and lasting until the fifth of September I will not have any sugar or starches. I tend to go a little overboard when it comes to rice cakes, chocolate, vegan ice cream, vegan donuts, buckwheat pancakes with lots of maple syrup, embarrassingly enough the list goes on but I will stop before I start drooling. If I don't have some type of sugar all day, I get cravings so bad that I get a headache and get irritable. I'm afraid my sensitive skin and immune system is suffering from this addictive diet and resulting in candida overgrowth. This disgusting problem I have lurking in my intestines and bleeding through my pores is exacerbating as eczema. Eating a lot of carbs and refined sugar can cause Candida overgrowth. "Candida is a fungus, which is a form of yeast, and a very small amount of it lives in your mouth and intestines. Its job is to aid with digestion and nutrient absorption but, when overproduced, candida breaks down the wall of the intestine and penetrates the bloodstream, releasing toxic byproducts into your body and causing leaky gut. This can lead to many different health problems, ranging from digestive issues to depression." -Dr. Amy Meyers 

On top of no sugar or starches for a week, I will be aiding the process by taking apple cider vinegar internally. Apple cider vinegar is one of nature's strongest anti-biotics and anti-fungals, it also alkalizes your body. In my case, it's beneficial because it also helps recolonise the intestines  with friendly bacteria (lactobacillus). Once this occurs, the healthy bacteria will act as a powerful guard, so to speak, and stop the bad bacteria (candida) from returning. I got it as gift one year for Christmas from my parents with this really neat book about everything ACV cures and I only read APPLE CIDER and immediately thought, YUM! So, I opened it and took a big ol' swig... holy shit. I almost barfed all over myself. It is so strong! With that said, my parents drink it every morning in a glass of water to dilute it. I will do the same.

No sugar.

No starches.

2 drinks a day of AVC; 1 tablespoon to every glass of water.
